With nearly two decades of experience spanning campaigns, Governor's legislative director, the Alabama Senate, and the private sector, Derek has developed a perspective on the Alabama political process that few can match.

​

Before joining Windom Galliher, Derek served as chief of staff to two consecutive presidents pro tempore of the Alabama Senate. In these roles, he coordinated the movement of complex legislative priorities and worked closely with leadership to ensure the seamless execution of the legislative agenda. He was deeply involved in every aspect of the legislative process, earning recognition for his judgment, ability to build consensus, and drive results in a high-pressure environment.

Derek is a graduate of Auburn University.
